from my understanding the cars were delivered straight from the factory. but i'm thinking even with a pro behind the wheel a 14.0 is hard as hell to accomplish. and now what i think of it, it must have been great weather cuz a mach 1 ran 13.1'ish.

we are not all that close.. Total Est. Time: 10 hours, 4 minutes Total Est. Distance: 534.27 miles.. Even if we split it in half a 5 hour drive for each of us would really suck especialy if one of us happend to break down
you sure man? hit my zip code in 70123. It takes me over an hour just to get to baton rouge... and thats not even a 1/4 of the way. somewhere around a 2 hour drive one way would be my limit. This is my Daily driver and I need to keep milage down. I have heard that it takes a good 6 hours just to get from houston from new orleans.

What do you consider "credible" sources? In other posts I have quoted a guy in my local fbody club who says he ran a 12.89 in his wife's bone stock Camaro SS. I haven't seen that timeslip but when he told me his street-driven WS6 went 10.8 I went to his house and he actually handed me the timeslip with the date and his car number for me to read, along with photos of his front tires waaaay off the ground, so he wasn't lying. I'd call that credible. So if people post times run by their friends and relatives that should be credible too I would think, depending on the person.

ok if this is a 1992 camaro they suck...don't even try to debate this because my friend had one and i mean it just sucked...i have a 4 banger and guess what...my car can go faster than his.....they are just really heavy cars that suck....i wouldn't mind buying a v-8 camaro but i wouldn't not buy the v-6 camaro...they aren't fast at all....he couldn't even really do all that good of a burnout with it...

I don't think the Camaro was being arrogant. Prolly just wanted a friendly race. Even if something is faster than me, sometimes I play with them a bit just to see how well I hang with them. I am wondering why the drivers didn't take the Camaro's first offer to race? Afraid to race up top?

TommyV8, 96Silver, 98LS1 and IntruderLS1 are pretty much the only nice F-body guys I've talked to. Anywhere else I've been they royally hate Mustangs and the owners and think their F-body is god.
I love F-bodies more than my Mustang, but I know all about GM's build quality and I wouldn't pretend I'm so high up on my thrown like 90% of them...

Most body guys are pretty cool. The one thing you have to remember is that fbodys are done, Over and finished so we can be pretty pertective. We are a dying race. Limited number can make for some conflict. Even when the 07 camaro comes out it's not going to be a real fbody chassis anymore. Just a camaro. I don't mind mustangs, Most that I run into are know nothing young dinks that think theya re teh fastest thing on the road and nothing can touch them. They rarely know anything about us fbody's. I think that no matter what we both tend to give the other side a bad rep. The ford VS chevy debate is in our blood. It's been sewed into our jeans. But now we have a new comon enemy that we must band together and fight. The age of rice is upon us.

Yet they constantly say stupid **** like that about anything that isn't an Fbody. Even the site owner and top moderator would participate in this. I was planning on trying for an LT1 sooner or later but now I'm just sick of any Fbody.
Then you can ask Harlan about what the hell happened at mainstream. Him and his boyfriend got all pissed about me locking a damn thread which ended up getting into a heated battle and deleted anyway, which I had tried to prevent a month earlier to no avail.
Oh and then I got banned because the owners friend doesn't know how to look at pictures before spending 175 on a turbo.
99.9999999999999% of my experiences with Fbody owners has shown me that they're mostly all cocky pricks, they're mostly all stuck up arrogant asses.
Now do you know why I can't stand most of the Fbody owners? I'm just tired of most peoples attitudes. ellis_juan pulled something hilarious in chat, check out my sig for that one. 98LS1 tried to defend most Fbody owners without knowing what happened and why I'm tired of hearing their crap. Lastly, this thread turned into the perfect example of why I'm sick of hearing **** about Fbodys.
