96, when are you going to realize that your LT1 car isnt shiet, and mustangs (5.0L) actually can and have run 13s in all stock setup?

Let me be your source for this new and startling information:
V8 Mustangs dont run 15s stock

some have run in the 13s stock

and my car is faster then yours LOL

this from a guy with slo in his name.

I'm FROM central NY but I now reside in Louisnana just outside of new orleans. Whats your best time. Except for my ****ty tires not grabing if your HP rate in your sig is corect I should take you. What do you say? There is a great track like 45 mins from me that has great elivation and increadable track prep.

besides, what does me running you have to do with anything other then you trying to make it personal?

Trust me. I am grounded. I make no claims to my car being some form of god. I am not much for LS1's, Don't care much for vettes etc. I don't think that I have a 10 second car (well... yet). I don't make unfair claims.. but I do know fbodys rather well. The reason that I am here is to learn some of what I do not know about mustangs. somone from this bored already has PMed me about meeting up some time at the track. I actualy have already met tripsevn7 (sp) from this bored... I have nothing against mustang guys. In fact I am glad that they finaly have some that will run with the LT1's. It was lonley for a while. I'm all for meeting up. I should be at the track near baton rough this wednesday and would be more then happy to meet any of you then or any other time. The internet is an amazing thing. It can create false images of people. in real life I am one of the quietest, kindest, soft sopken person that you would ever meet. I look forward to getting a chance to meet some of you and even run some of you.

Damn dude...you sure do take things to heart. I'm guessing they all got mad at you over at mainstream?

It's the intraweb....

About LS1tech being ****tards, it's not even a site like this where ppl just post off topic things most of the time. It's all, well, tech.

I guess your opinion can't be wrong, but it sure as hell is uninformed and girly.

About the whole Ford vs GM thing, can't we just let it go already. I, for one, am tired of arguing it. 95% of this board can't put two intelligent post back to back anyway, it gets old. To the other 5%, I love you guys.

i think lt-1 is just upset because he has only seen 88 gt's running in the 15's. now i dont want to upset anybody but the fact is 88 gt's with a reasonably skilled driver can hit the 14's rather easily. hell my cousin ran my uncles 89 gt with just a K&N and hit 14.59 and hes not that good of a driver.

Well how about that. Im next door to you. Im about 40 minutes south of Waco, Tx. Why dont we find a track half way and go at it? My best is 13.57. Thats with just the bolt-ons I have along with street tires and lowering springs. So now that I have the Nittos wrapped around the rear, the 4.10's going on Monday and the upper and lower control arms soon after. Im hoping for a 13.1-13.3 with the gears and control arms. That would be great for a bolt on GT and no other power adders.

Whats your best time???

Like I said... furish actualy results better then a 15.0 or I will be forced to continue using the numbers that I have found. Teling me what your friend, brother, uncle, cousin or distent relitive ran doesn't mean anything. Give me some somewhat credable sources.

Why you gotta hate, 2000? I'm not so bad. I rarely flame unless someone throws out something really outlandish, like stock 5.0's breaking the sound barrier and going back in time and **** like that. I like my LS1 but I don't tote it as the greatest thing ever. I know a Mach 1 can hang with me and a well-driven 03-04 Cobra will bitch-slap me EVERY time. I raced a stock-appearing Civic that ran 13.9 and was more impressed by it than the 12-second V8's that I've raced. I try to live in reality and refer to facts and real-world experience whenever possible, though I guess I'm guilty of as much magazine racing as the next guy. I do try to remember where I am and stay on my best behavior.

Anything is possible but getting that out of an auto sounds like it wasnt too stock. I ran 14.3's in 100 degree weather and I have a 5 speed. Maybe if they were in great weather is could have been more achieveable.

sweet... If you can hook with the gears you should take me. I'll be having some massive traction issues conisdering the almost ilagle street tires that I have. My best and only 1/4 run was a 14.6 (long story, PM me if you want to hear it) but like I said I am going back wednesday if the weather holds out. Whats your zip code? The best track that I have found out here is the one near baton rouge. Wonder how far that is? I'm kinda screwed considering that I am doing the strength mods first IE heavy ass 12 bolt, extrealy large and heavy driveshaft etc before doing anything to the motor but it will pay off in a few years when I am all done (if you want plans on my future you can PM me about that as well)

i'll get back to you on that one on the weather thing. but i know they were running in michigan and the best they got out of a 04 cobra vert was a 12.778 so something wasnt right. but i just find it hard to believe they ran a 14.0'ish. they ran the next time without the spare and got something like 14.3

I would but the PM's are messed up right now and no one can get through to anyone else. Im sure that LT1 can get a little more than a 14.6! You need to get back to the track.

You also have to keep in mind that those are "professional" drivers. You can make a pass like that and make even better numbers but it takes a good suspension setup, which makes the car non-stock. Its not always about the power as much as it is the suspension. So...
