Default Please help! engine questions!!

How hard would it be to put a 92` chevy 454 engine into my 1999 v6 mustang? my engine now is pritty much blown and I found this huge engine on craigs list for 300.00 complete. what all would i need to make it work if possible and is it going to be expensive?? also, any other Ideas on what other kind of bigger motor i can put into my mustang for a reasonable price????? Thanks!!!!

dont put a chevy in a ford, get a 427

don't know how expensive they are, but a dohc 5.4 out of a lincoln navigator would be pretty sweet. i think they are 300 hp stock.

What is the point of wanting to put a huge engine in the stang? Keep in mind bigger is not always better. That 454 maybe puts out 250-300hp. You can stick a rebuilt 3.8 back in and with the money you saved in trying to do a conversion from a Ford to Chevy motor, get forced induction and do it right! (forged block to begin with, FI cams, beefed up injection system, and turbo or S/C)
