Default Safe jack stand placement

I'm installing new x-pipe. Whereis the bestplace to locate the jack stands on my 93 vert?

I always place mine on the frame front and back about mid way

I had a 90 gt not I have a 93 vert, when I jacked up the 90 in the front only the front tire came off the ground, when i jacked up the vert up front the whole side came up. I am not a pro or anything but something was different in the 2 cars as far as body went.
