If your looking for 8.8 rear w/3.31 & T-lok, $600.00 Check this site out: http://www.newtakeoff.com/index.asp?...p;Category=424 I've been talking to some MF members on this subject and they are telling me that you can run the 7.5 rear w/gears & Detroit true trac and TA girdle, and be stronger than the 8.8 with the T-lok, with stock girdle. Ok! Detroit true trac is less than $400.00 and TA girdle is less than $200.00 Same price as the stock 8.8/tlok, so the weak link is the T-lok

Did you build the 7.5 up or was it stock?

7.5 had the detroit truetrac in it and 3.73 gears.

and yes launching it like that doesnt help the rear, but it just proves the 7.5 is not very good for drag racing

the left axle and tube are ruined. bent the axle tube tryin to pull the wheel off the ground, and in turn the axle went bad. the TT and R&P were fine, but what good does that do you if you cant put the power to the wheels

well i blew 4th gear synchro around 30k miles, rebuilt it then. i now feel 2nd gear has a slight notch when pulling it out of gear, but fine going in.
