View Full Version : Interior detail from Friday
Juztang 03-25-2007, 10:09 PM I got a call from a lady needing her interior done. Her dog got bit and it struck an artery. She rushed it to the vet in her Freestyle. The seats were really saturated in blood. The rest of the interior was pretty bad too, I even found moldy bread!
I used APC to preclean all of the plastic and vinyl. I used Woolite and some commerical carpet cleaner on the matts and carpeting. I then used my hot water extractor to pull everything up. Poorboys Natural Look was used to dress the interior plastic parts. Here are some pics:

saleenstuff 03-25-2007, 10:23 PM I hope she tipped you well--she doesn't own a dog, and her husband is missing.
gill7784 03-25-2007, 10:24 PM Holy cow! That is one hell of a good job!

I hope she tipped you well--she doesn't own a dog, and her husband is missing.
[:o] I hope not!
gill7784 03-25-2007, 10:44 PM Out of curiosity, how much does a job like that cost? It must have taken FOREVER and is oh-so nasty.
Juztang 03-25-2007, 10:47 PM I did that for $100. It took 2 1/2 hours. Didn't get my rate on this one. The lady worked with my mom and I cut her a deal. Usually I would charge $150 plus for something that bad.
gill7784 03-25-2007, 10:52 PM wow, evern 150 is CHEAP for that level of nastiness. I panic when I get some crumbs on my carpet.... blood!!! Good lord!
Stickman81 03-25-2007, 11:19 PM Wow - Nice save Justin.
That interior was pretty bad.
Cooter 03-26-2007, 12:47 AM Great work man. Looks like something from awreck i've worked with all that blood!!!
Good job!! With all that blood loss, did the dog live??
tommy2273boy 03-26-2007, 01:31 AM honestly, I dont see the diffrence....
j/k
my jaw dropped when I saw the first of the "after" shots, wow!
Great job!!
lol, did you put all her junk in that plastic bag?
Juztang 03-26-2007, 01:54 AM Yeah she said the dog is ok.
Yes, I put a bag together of all of the stuff I found underneath the seats, etc... I did find plenty of change too. I always put peoples change in a ziplock baggy, they are amazed when they see how much money I find!
99 GT vert 03-26-2007, 10:58 AM looks good
SVTBill 03-26-2007, 05:59 PM good job man....
the lady who owned that was fat huh? i hate when people come into discount and you can tell they're total slobs cuz there car looks like that but with empty fast food bags laying around everywhere and stains and stuff plus it will smell like a circus [:'(][:'(][:'(]
sprostang 03-26-2007, 08:40 PM Wow dude, nice job! [sm=smiley20.gif]
Besides the blood, wudda a friggin pig!
I`ve done cars worse than that though. I had one that the owner tookher dog everywhere she went. The car was full of hair, smelled like piss, and I even found some $hit under the front seat. This was the worst one of all. Too bad I don`t have any pics.I did make a good buck on that one though. ;)
mygt500 03-31-2007, 06:16 AM Hey great work Justin! I have never detailed a car that looked that bad except for the ones owned by women. NowI am not bashing all women only the ones that do not take care of the interior of the car. Besides the blood on the seats and the floors the rest of the vehicle was terrible andI would have refused to do the car based on principle alone. Detailing is not my primary job or income anyway and I would have charged 200 dollars or more if she was serious about having an immaculate car! Once again I love women but they need to put more importance on cleanliness of their vehicles. JMO J
LilRedHoss 04-02-2007, 04:45 PM Wow! Good job.
My 89 Probe looked better than that when I got it. And it hadn't been detailed.

Juztang 03-27-2008, 10:22 PM Thanks for all of the compliments guys! You wouldn't believe how many nasty details I've done, this was only one of many!!
jeffdavis411 03-30-2008, 01:25 PM what kinda cleaner exactly did you use to get that blood out? and what kind of hot water extractor. I have the same issue or close to in a truck i just bought
Juztang 03-30-2008, 05:04 PM All ProChem chemicals were used on the interior, that is all I use for carpet and upholstery. I use a Mytee Spyder hot water extractor and a Daimer Stear Cleaner.
Matts 85 LX 04-02-2008, 02:30 AM very nice job. I need you to come to cali and do my g/f car. It looked like that just without the blood. Very nice, very nice.

ckone0814 04-03-2008, 11:58 AM I know I'm overly anal about my stuff but it never ceases to amaze me how pigged-up some people's cars are!
ckone0814 04-03-2008, 12:02 PM oh...awesome job. that'sa bargain for$150 and an absoluteSTEAL for $100.
