First off WELCOME! Second off the classics are great! I have a 66 and an Early 65(64-1/2)
It sounds like you could have fuel issues. The tank is new, but is the sending unit new also? Was the fuel filter changed prior to start-up? New plugs installed? When is it stalling out? How long before it stalls? These are few questions to be asked. Get a Ford shop manual and and an owners manual(roughly 40-50 bucks for both at most vendors)

put a new fuel pump in, that seemed to fix the problem for awhile. Now I'm haveing problems with the alternator. Its not charging the battery, so to start the car I have to jump her every time I turn the engine off and sometimes when I stop but not since the belt was tightend.

Turns out the gas tank isn't new. Im getting a new one for Christmas tho. I changed the fuel filter the other day and that helped out, but now the alternater is giving me problems. Its not charging the battery. So I bought a new belt. Haven't installed it yet tho. Hopfully that will help
