In this case I agree with Soaring.  All the aftermarket systems are overrated, overpriced, and overadvertised.  How many people actually need a race car front end?

New OEM style components by a brand name like Moog, good shocks, 620 springs, Roller perches, roller Idler (I LOVE mine), a little larger front sway bar, and a rebuilt steering box.  It's half the cost and just as good.

The only thing missing is the brag-factor

EVERY BMW (big-money-wasted) driver out there THINKS he has a race car suspension.

Have you tried the variable-rate coils? I hear they are very nice.

The thing I like about the coil overs is the adjustability of them. On a 65/66 the most caster you can get is around 3 degrees. Of the cars I've driven in my life (a lot of them) the ones that felt best had on the order of 6-8 on caster. I've thought about using the 67/68 strut rod to see if I can get what I want.
If you are in the spot of having to completely rebuild your suspension, brakes and steering....why not go for the coil-overs? You will be fairly close if you do the front end with new quality parts. What are Koni's now....$600.00...and you have to remove them to change the settings. Ride-height is fully adjustable, alignments are easier and totally ajustable. I don't see a down side if you are starting with 40 year old parts.
