i'm sick of hearing the sti can beat the 03-04 cobra. i truly believe even in a drivers race the cobra has the advantage. i always see a white sti parked along a street i take home from school. i was driving my dad's cobra the past week every day while my springs are being installed. i finally ran into the guy and knew i had to do something. the cobra is completely stock (not for long) so i knew if i won there were no excuses for wrx owners. it was around 7 am so the streets were empty and after a couple of lights i knew i had to go. i launched at 4,500 and was pissed cuz my rearend wouldnt settle down. and with the awd on the sti it took off like a bullet. i thought all was lost until i heard the big and bad eaton whine like a *&^$# i caught up and passed him until i slowed down at about 110 mph i won by about 2 car lengths. don't get me wrong i don't think the sti is a bad car i just think HOT ROD MAGAZINES article on the 2 cars sucked a$$

So... does he know you tagged 110 mph in his car, on public roads even? I'm sure that little tid bit of information escaped the explanation of why the car was so low on gas.
I'm SOO glad I go to work at 11:30 and get off work at 9 so I'm not out and about while these kids in their high powered daddy mobiles are out drag racing on public highways whilest other kids are walking to school.
I wouldn't hope anyone to get in an accident ever, but I really hope you get tagged by that little thing called Ka Band Radar while you're doing this one morning.
haha!!! if you think i'm bad u should see my dad drive. he's crazier than me. the point is i was born with american muscle and i will be until the lord takes me away. my mom was driven to the hospital for my delivery by my dad's ol 68 mustang fastback gt 390. and i used to get picked up from kindergarden in my dad's other car a 70 trans am pushing 500 rwhp. i have been in an accident so i know what it's like. i have never gotten a ticket. and i don't go lucking for trouble!!!. but if a chopstick mobile want's to go i'll be more than willing to have them hear a real 'exhaust sound'

well your one of the few 'ricers' that feel that way. cuz there sure are a lot of your brethren more than willing to go. u may say i have to be the bigger person but when someones revving at me theres not much i can do but shut him up. i don't race often in the street in fact i've only done it twice. and i don't go looking for trouble but it sure as hell is looking for me.

well u always defend 'ricers' and seem to always be looking for an argument. if you like imports so much u should go to 'ricerocket.com' or something. just dont be surprised when you're on a muscle car forum and the guys here don't like imports. what the hell do u expect.

I don't defend ricers, but you seem to use that term fairly loosely associating all import owners and all 4 cylinder cars as ricers.
When you do that, then I will sit there and nip at your heels with a little debate. However, most people on here know the difference and when they do make statements I know what they mean.

I know you don't know how to drive worth a damn, launching a car with a stock 390 ft lbs of torque at 3500 rpm at 4500 rpm tells me this.
In closing, I don't expect you to like imports, but I do expect you to show respect for the fact that you did something completely insane and you should just stop if you want to live.
