How do you remove the shift knob. Are there set screws under the cap?I think I am going to install a T-Handle on it.

no screws, it just threads onto the lever.  You will want to pull up on the shift boot by squeezing the long sides in and up.  Then put a visegrip on the lever and a channel lock on the knob (part under the shift boot to keep from knarling up the good part) and I think it's regular thread lefty loosy.

They lock tite the 2006 knobs on. I could never get mine off. Had three people try. We even took the whole shifter out fo the car and put it in a vice. No dice. I replace the stock unit with a Steeda Tri-ax.

Good luck. I hope yours is easier than mine was.

Mine unscrewed right off - but it is an '05.  I put a black B&M T on mine and I love it

Let me rephrase that - mine unsrewed "left" off.  Its standard lefty loose righty tighty
