Default Installing subs with stock cd player

I was wondering how hard it would be to install an amp and subs with the stock cd player? The car is a 2004 Mustang with the mach 460 stereo and 6 disc changer.

I have an amp and 2 10's and also 2 12's (need new box(s)) as old one is to big. I have wired amps and such before but being the headunit is not aftermarket i'm not sure how to do it. Perhaps splice into a speaker wire in the rear?

Hoping someone has an idea because i would prefer to not remove the stock cd player.

i personally would replace the stock head unit but i think splicing into the rear speakers would do the trick.

you gotta splice into the rear speakers with a line out converter.

And what exactly is a line out converter? Or even better, a link to one would be great.
