I know this isnt mustang related but I was hoping you could help me out as the dealer my Dad bought this car from was no help to them. I see you sell alot of factory parts.
They bought a new escape with the Audiofile headunit. It says "Satellite Capable" which appears to mean it needs more than a subsciption to work as I dont see an antenna anywhere on the car.
What all do I need to make this work and do you sell what is needed?
Riven, i'm afraid i don't have much better news for you either. In order to install a Ford factory satellite radio system, you would have to buy all the proper wiring, antenna, satellite base unit, etc. Ford does not make a kit for this, and installing it would be quite a challenge, as you would have to install the antenna in your car, run wiring all throughout the interior panels, drill a hole in your roof for the antenna, etc. I'm not exactly sure what it means by "satellite ready" Perhaps it means for an aftermarket system? The sales department and the parts department don't use the same terms. Or it could mean that it actually does include a satellite radio and is just not visable. This is something you would want to ask a veteran Ford salesman. Thanks.
