Default stock versus stock

okay guys i would like to know stock for stock with equally good drivers. Which car is faster 0-60mph. which car would be fastest in the quarter mile and with no governor in the engine who would have thie highest top speed. 2003-2004 mustang svt cobra or 2005-2006 pontiac gto.... remember they are both stock no add ons or bolt ons

To me it seems like the LS engines always have the better top end, just look at all the Vettes since 98, all seem to be able to hit 165-170 without any problems, and the newer ones are even faster.

Its just a matter of gearing and aerodynamics. The engines don't perform better at high speeds vs down low, its just the car it is in.

And the GTO is no vette

I know the GTO isnt a Vette, but I think the GTO would be able to run at higher speeds than a Stang, even a Cobra. Plus his intentions were based on no governor, so its basically just which engine carries which car further.

Just too bad the Cobra has to have a S/C to make the same amount of power as the LS2, [8D].

I have a video of stock 03 cobra hitting 155mph fast, like it was nothing. I have to give props to the Terminators against a GTO

281CI vs. 364CI, I could see why the blower is needed.
