Default 17's front 18's rear

Hi,
I have a set of 17" wheels for the front of my '69 fastback and 18" wheels in the rear. Does anyone have any recommendation on which tire sizes to use? I am leaning towards 245/45's for the front and 275/40's for the rear, but there is about an inch difference in overall diameter...the rears will be one inch taller than the fronts. Does that make a difference at all?
Thanks!!!

Default RE: 17's front 18's rear

The reason is those tires are basically the same heighth.. so having a 1inch taller rim makes them 1 inch taller... so basically it depends on how it looks weather or not it can ba 1 inch taller.. and if you go with a lower profile to get the same heighth its going to look kinda funny with a 35 series in the rear and a 50 series in the front.. i was having the same delema with my coupe and i decided on 17s all the was around.. but thats just my personal preference..

whats wheels are you going to use with what backspacing?? im thinking about buying some bulletts but worried that the 5.95 backspace is going to be too much on the 17x9...
