Yep,, I think you have it. For sure the red circled plugs. you need to plumb one of these for the rubber tubing. I am pretty sure that is the right tubing, if it continues down to the transmission I will give you a 99.9% that that is the right tube.
Bring the two together and you got it.

yup, like i said the modulator is on the passenger side and that seems to be heading that. fix that first before messing with the kickdown!. let us know how it goes

Ok so that was the perfect advise. I got a brass fiting for the intake and hooked that hose up to it and now I can't tell when the car shifts. haha. I think my first gear is around 20-25 now instead of 40-50 mph.
Thank you all.

The only vac tube on the carb you cant use is the on up high by or on the metering block.thats for distributor vacuum.the rest are down low and can be used for other things not requiring high volume such as brake boosters.
So, his problem is resolved now I have a question that ive never really thought about and i never remmeber seeing one. Does a 200 cid with a c4, in a '66 have a kickdown ? Thank alot

Well if it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all. Now apparently I have a vacume leak. When that intake was plugged I had a strong sounding engine. now in the dark I can see my headlights dim and come back up at idle and I just have my power sapped. So I'm thinking Vacume leak somewhere. Undercarriage here I come!

It would be a coincidence but the modulator might have developed a leak in the diaphram. You can check this by removing the hose from the manifold (with engine off) and sucking on the end of the hose. If you can build a vacuum then the modulator is probably good. If air coutinues to go through the tube, or you get trany fluid through the hose then the modulator is bad. (yea, be carefull, if the diaphram is broken you could end up with trany fluid in your mouth)
Modulators are only about $20.00, and they should be easy to install. (GM units are a breeze anyway)
If the modulator is good, and you still believe your problem to be a vacuum leak, go over your intake manifold bolts once again.
If the modulator is broken it will certainly effect idle, because you will be getting both air and trany fluid in the engine.
