yea it will be camaro & challenger fever for a few years when they first come out. As for t-tops I just don't see them on a stang. Has there been a model or two in the past where they put t-tops on. I see that as more of a pontiac/gm deal.

I hope Ford sells a lot of 2008 Mustangs, but I don't want a design change or new option that would make me regret getting a 2007 V6 Pony Package instead of waiting on a 2008. So what would "kick" you in the rear if Ford offered it next year on the V-6? T-top, 8.5" rear end, or ?
For me it would be factory dual exhaust on the V6.
Ya... lets hope ford doesn't upgrade its cars because you don't want regrets......Be happy with the car you have and if Ford does do any of the things in your post you can upgrade because they will be cheap now!
well they'll be cheap when the camaro and its other competitors come out, hey the t-top is a pontiac thing, i was just throwin it out there for ideas, but a hard top foldin convertible and a sunroof are a must, us coupes really need one or the other, didnt get convertible because didnt want some hater to slash my roof

From what I understand, there isn't going to be a V6 Camero or Challenger. It's going to be raw V8 power all the way.
And very big price tags too! so 5 years down the road you can look for the demise of the Camero and Challenger again unless they sell at $35K+ and maintane numbers!
You can get an aftermarket sun roof if you want one. But with the way the roof is designed on these things I just don't see a sunroof going all that well with them. With the sunroof you have to have someplace for the glass to slide back and there just isn't enough room in the roof to do that wich means it has to go over the top of the roof.
And to me, a sunroof that sticks out and over the roof when it's back just plain looks ugly to me. If a sunroof was all that important to me I wouldv'e bought another vehicle.

u should see the stangs who have done it here, and they have gotten it to work under the roof and when its in place, it still shows the car lines well look for them, theres a green one here
a good change would be offering the option of factory tinted windows i dont see why ford didnt have that im still clueless as to why not, all cars and suvs have that option

Yes, Ford did put T-Tops on their past Mustang Models. I had an '82 Black on Black GT with T-Tops. Very sharp looking car!
as long as people are buying american cars at this point, i dont care, anything the new mustangs, camaros, and challengers can do for the american market, im happy. The camaros will have a v6 model, and the challenger will not
trunk release, get rid of the one tire fire...i keep getting made fun of for it, dual exhaust brighter headlights, drive by wire, and of course more power
i don't know I don't really think we should care...if you have an 05-07 its the most significant release of the Mustang since the very first one...at this point all these people are talking about the Camaro and Challenger...thats nice...but we have the orignals...all Chevy and Dodge are trying to do is model those cars after what Ford did with the 05'...in fact you look at Chevy and Dodge and their whole sales pitch is based on something the 2005 Mustang started...an American Revolution...lol...so say what you want, I'll keep my 05 well after the next Mustang, Camaro, or Challenger comes out...its all already a classic and its still in production...as for the 3.5 ?....**** that...i'll take my 4.0 with lower HP and build on it anyday before that happens...gag...getting 260-270 at the crank is EASY with built-ons and some cash...you can even go beyond that if you really feel like voiding your warranty...

OK guys, educate me. How can a 3.5 have more HP than a 4.0? I can understand if they add turbo to it, but it just seems wrong. That's like saying my daughter's 2.0 Focus has more HP than my Mustang's 4.0.

i gotta agree on that, those are the things i believed in when i got a car, the chances of me getting rid of the car are impossible
A stronger V6 or duals would not upset me. As someone else said, if they beef up the V6 they better beef up the V8 as well. Ford wouldn't want V6 sales going up and GT sales going down. I hope the QC/Engineering improves for 08. Fix the water leaks, front suspension "thunks" and gas tanks that can't be filled. Yes, I have "The Thunk" on my 1500 mile 07 and am patiently waiting for the TSB. Visually, 67-68 curved style taillights wouls be hot.

I have my doupts about a drastic to the Mustang I.E.: Motor, etc. Until they come out with the new body style in 2010. I figure Ford has a building full of the 4.0's ready to go. Nothing wrong with dual exhaust and such but they already have the tooling in place for the existing platform, why change now. Sure they change color and interior packages but those are simple. But we'll see in a month or two. I wouldn't doupt a Bullitt or Mach1 but that's cosmetic changes or bolt on.
I can't imagine anything else that they would come out with to make me regret getting my stang when I did. I think maybe a stronger V6 but I doubt if that happend it wouldn't be that strong to make a difference. Hoepfully, I'll just be able to purchase a 2nd Stang
