Default BEAT a 99' Cobra!!!!!

ehh..........
i wish i could beat a Cobra but i was in my friends 02' SS Camaro and it was on the highway. They seemed pretty matched with the camaro pulling away but by very very very little. Although there was 4 kids in our car about 750 lbs. and the Cobra was driving solo. Also my friend has a nice system that also weighs him down but i was surprised that he won. we went three times from 55mph 60 mph and 70 mph rolls. the cobra was about half a cars length behind everytime and it kept topping out at 130 mph. although it did get the jump everytime but instantly my friend caught up. it was fun but i'm kinda dissapointed that my boy didn't get his ass handed to him since i'm part of the Stang family. o yeah his LS1 is stock and i have no idea what the Cobra had.

Anybody know what the '99 Cobra is rated at? I wanna say about 300, right? LS1's are tough on the highway; mine trapped at 104 stock, and that's an auto.

whats the point of having no one in the car? it would be just even worse of a loss for the cobra..... but the Cobra I believe is 320 HP at the flywheel? i think. but yeah my buddies car is fast and he just bought a NOS nitrous kit!!!!!! omg that thing is gonna be unreal. but we didn't know the guy in the cobra although i think i have seen himm around b4. he has a red cobra with a white hood so i think its aftermarket but i didn't get a good look. we pulled up next to him and my friend just talked sh!t but thats cuz he drives a Chevy and they all do that but whatever.

Damn...your very lucky, you didn't crash and kill everyone in the car...I personally won't race anyone, when someone else happens to be present with me.... Good run...but next time i would do it alone....All that added weight could have be tragic if something would have happened.

320 overrated horsepower...It's more like 310-316.....99 Cobra's are about the same as a 99+GT...in most case's it's a complete drivers race in the quarter.

99 Cobras are over rated on HP, that's why they ceased production halfway through the year and did not make a '00 Cobra. They worked the bugs out and released the '01.
