Default 95 stang vert vs. 99 stang vert

k i got a race on my hands.....its been a while since ive been on here so my mods have changed....the guy im racin is my friend....he has a 99 vert 5 speed with cold air and o/r x with magna packs and five speed....my 95 has full exhaust headers back to o/r h to dumped flows...b&m shiftkit...asp underdrive pullies...asp smog delete...msd rotor and cap...wires....tfi coil...cobra upper and lower intake ported...b303 cam....gt40 heads ported....and bigger mas air ....

With ported GT40s and a cam you should have no problems.

I'm going to have to agree up to a certain extent, it's going to be a good race since he is 5 spd. and you've got an AOD-E with a shift kit. If you had a stall I'd definentally say that you have this race won. Good luck though!

Don't know too much about 5.0s but with a cam, ported intake, and "better than stock" ported heads I would hope you can win.

If his A/F is pretty close or if it is tuned and not way off and he is at sea level that combo is good for any where from 240-260 IMO depending on how well the porting is done. Did you have the heads milled or anything? He's going to take more time to get into the powerband with that stock converter (the stock AOD converters were rated right around 1800 rpms which absolutely sucks). If you spend any money, don't spend it on nitrous, spend it on a nice custom built torque converter, tranny cooler,and some drag radials, you'll see some huge improvements with those two mods. It's going to be a good race either way.
