Hi Scotch, Guess what? I am also in Scotland!! I am one of the few lucky people over here that own a mustang. I wanted a Black 5.0GT Fox Body and looked into shipping one over. Shipping costs are only about $500 and you need to add on 10% import duty but it still works out cheaper than most of them sell for over here. I eventualy found a 1984 GT350 (20th anniversary model) on the Isle of White and bought that and drove it the 450 miles back to Scotland. I have taken it off the road over winter and am currently preparing it for a respray. I still kinda want a Black GT but dont want to change the colour of mine because it is the limited edition model (and the only one in the UK). Oh yeah, I saw a saleen mustang driving through Bearsden about three months ago. It looked like it was about two years old. Anyway I hope you get your mustang soon. It is pretty hard overtaking in a left hand drive car by the way.
