Which tail lights would look best on my 99 Black GT with Saleen body kit? Or do they both look ricey?

do you have to put either of them on there? :eek: If you HAVE to put one on there i would go with the first one, the second is way to ricey for a mustang.

well i don't HAVE to put either one of them on. I was just wondering if it would add to the look of the mustang instead of the stock red tail lights, or would it give it a ricer look and take away from the muscle car look. I like the top one more as well, but was just wondering whether they both look ricer or not. anyone else like to comment please?

I think they are both pretty rice, but thats just me...

Well i don't think i'll be getting either one. I thought about black outs in the beginning as well, but wouldn't they look a little cheesy? With the blackouts you can't see the grooves of the lights or anything right? Isn't just a straight smooth cover?

I think they make some with the grooves but I could be wrong. I like the way they look on black cars a lot.

none. stock. period. those are all gay pieces. I'd never blackout my taillights, or put covers on. Covers just reduce the light being emitted. I'd rather not be rear ended and then be ticketed for that.

well the blackouts and the smoked ones look pretty good, but I don't know, I think i may just stay stock.

I've seen a pic of the blackouts, I believe someone on here has them. I just don't like the look, it's kinda strange actually.

I like the smoked ones, because it's not too dark...

i dunno why people waste money on altezzas. I saw a minivan two weeks ago with altezzas. You're not being "unique" anymore.

It's more unique to leave your taillights stock now.

get ones that are smoked out or completely black they look the best...plus on my car after i paint and everything i want smoked tail and headlights...make it a ****ing shadow( loud shadow) in the dark..would be crazy as ****

Man i would totally go for the black out look. That would look way better then any altezza on a mustang.

Why dont you get the 99-01 cobra tail lights with the amber turn signals in them, they look really good and are still factory.

stock tailights are fine on 99-04s. the lights you are "choosing" are pretty ricey to me. if you are going to change the tailights, get blacked out ones, otherwise, stick with stock.

As I've said in other threads before... IMO euros on a stang are about as wrong as a fat hairy guy in a thong! There are some things you just shouldn't do! Personally I just put a honeycomb graphic over my stock tail lights and I like the way it turned out.

i gotta side with 03silvergt, the 99/00/01 tail lights look awesome, thats what i wanna get for my car, but theyre quite expensive, but i guess all of them are....

Everytime I see those lights on a mustang it just ruins everything for me. Especially on dark colored cars. IMO a nice looking car doesn't out do it's self and keeps that classic appeal that was true to it's design, if that makes any sense. Basically what I mean, when I see a saleen going down the road, 100% of all the ones I see still have the original taillights in them. Taillights aren't want makes the car, it's the car that makes it. I'd take the $200 and $300 somewhere else. Bottomline, i'd leave your taillights the exact way they are. If you do blackouts, the whole entire car will be black and too much. I like on black cars how the stock red taillights compliment it.

BTW, it's a mustang tradition and heritage to have the 3 bar style lights, not some RSX looking taillights.

Correct me if I am wrong here, but aren't the mustangs the only cars that have rear lights which come in threes either verticle or horizontal? I noticed this one night driving home in the dark. Since this revelation, I can now pick out another mustang car and check out their exhaust system.

If I am right, why would you want to look like all the other people? You would just blend in with the import tuner people.

Mustangs are distinctive and stand out in every way.
