Just caught the the show on speed where they stacked up the '07 GT500 against the ZO6 and the Viper. For having the smallest motor and tires and the most weight(700 lbs over the ZO6), the GT500 did quite well. ZO6 ran a 12.2, viper a 12.4 and the GT500 ran a 12.5. In the road course the ZO6 went a 1:20, the Viper a 1:22 and a 1:24 for the Mustang. That is for just a little over half the price and with a back seat!;)

Not bad for half the price of the vette and viper.
Now they onlyneed toshed a few pounds off the GT 500

Well those numbers do sound great, but unfortunately, they are off... Z06s run in the high 11s easy.... I'm suprised they only got 12.2...

Yeah but then it would be slower. It is already the slowest out of the 3 even with the supercharger. On the other hand I hear the next ZO6 SS dubbed the "blue devil" will have a supercharger and 650hp! I guess Chevy did all they could naturally aspirated.
