Default NEED HELP QUICK!!!!!!!!

i have a 1992 Mustang LX with a turbo 4. It has a 4 speed auto. I am having a problem with the shifting. It dose not slip in any gear or have an problems shifting into any gear but 4th (or overdrive). No matter what i do i will not shift. Could it be a computer chip?.Any help would be great.<edited><editID>tootasf_2005</editID><editDate>37892.8409259259</editDate></edited>

You could have a bad shifting solenoid in the tranny if it's an electronic shift rock box. Though I'm not a tranny man, I do sell parts for a living, and I've seen that many times. The electronic trannies also have a controller (your computer chip idea). You need to get a look at a service manual for your tranny at the local dealer. They will usually let you copy needed pages out of their manuals so you can take 'em home with you.</P>

Good luck.</P>
