How stiff are coil overs? Are they going to be much stiffer than H&R race springs? and what are the ride height ranges for the coilovers. Can I just lower my car like 2 inches instead of like 4? And were I to not get coil overs. How important are the shocks/struts I get. If I were to get the H&R springs, what are good shocks to get. And last question, Would i really need CC plates? or can I not get them and be ok with an alignment?

1. The stiffness of the coil-overs will depend on the spring rate you choose. We have many different spring rate options to choose from. You cannot compare easily a coil-over spring rate to a regular (stock location) spring rate. Coil-over springs will provide a much higher level of performance vs. the ride comfort. Meaning even though the coil-over spring is stiffer, it will provide a smoother and more comfortable ride. To compare to the H&R Race springs... you can go with a 300lb/in spring for example on a coil-over.... and have a MUCH higher level of performance and comfort than the H&R Race...

2. With the Maximum Motorsports coil-over kits, you can lower your car 0-3 inches safely. You have a wide range of adjustment to fit your liking.

3. Shocks & struts are always important whenever switching to a higher spring rate... whether it be regular springs or a coil-over kit.

4. You will need CC plates on a coil-over kit, no matter what height. The CC Plates provide structural support for the front coil-over kit, as well as help align the car. With regular springs, you will need CC plates with any spring over 1.25 inches...

The difference is one has springs... one does not. If you look at the picture & description you will see this information...

The spring rate is completely up to you... you can choose a range from 250 (very soft drag racing), up to 475 (race car). It is really up to you...
