Me and My Daughter are just starting a project. I have a 89 GT and a 79 notchback (6).
I want to put the running gear from the 89 into the 79. That’s all pretty easy, Now, I want to put two 4 barrels on the 302 instead of the throttle body manifold.
What changes do I have to do to the 302 to get it to run with carbs. Intake, carbs, Distributor, (especially distributor) . Also, anyone need some 89 GT parts. (New gray cloth back seat) .

Thanks

I don't think a 302 will handle dual 4 barrels. I have a 650 dual line on mine and it tends to run rich when I kick the 4 barrels in. I bought a new dizzy for a 71 model 302 and put in mine that way it is points style (no computer). Intake I bought a holley street dominator. I am happy with the setup. Depending on your coil you may need a ballast resistor. They are like 7 bux. If you have any quesdtions just pm me and I will try my best to help. I need the rubber moldings that run along the middle of the door. PM me a price shipped to 41234. Piano wire takes tehm off easy.

Thats way overkill, especially for what Im assuming is a stock 302.
The Mopars with a 440 only came with a 6 pack (3 2 barrels) and thats a big block.

It can do dual fours. Even know of a guy with dual fours on a 289. You have to tune them.

dual 4's are too much for a mild 302, the only way u would need them was if u had over 500 wheel and even then u can do fine with a single carb.  i dont think there are many dual 4 intakes, but the things u need to change are the intake and dizzy, the rest will take to a carb fine.

if you want the look of dual quads, use really small carbs, like 400 cfm
