I haven't looked through 44 pages of questions, but I doubt this one has been asked. If you are sitting in traffic at a red light, and cut through a parking lot to get onto a road that the line of traffic you are in is turning on, is it considered running a red light?
I had never heard of that before, I know it's something stupid anyway, but as a college student, sometimes you have to do everything possible to get to class on time. Just wondering if that is the truth.
I don't think it's considered running a red, but rather a seperate offense called avoiding a signal or something like that. It may vary from state to state though and I am not a cop either .

IS it true a cop cannot pull you over if they were sitting on the side of the road with their lights off.
We were doing like 70 in a 50, 4 door Corrola, unmarked car sitting in a school entrance, lights off, i yelled cop, we slowed, he pulled out and followed for like 5 minutes

I wanna know why guys drive around there Harleys with LOUD a** exhausts and its not illegal, but if a guy in a Mustang (or any sports car) drives around with loud exhausts its a fine..and NOT legal

This isn't car related but is it legal for me to get pulled over going 10 over and then my car searched because it smelled like marijuana and while they search my car they handcuffed me and had me sit in the back of the patrol car... and found nothing?

I've seen a blue stripe on front license plates. Do you know what that is about?
I haven't seen it...my best guess is it is an inference to the "Thin Blue Line." Google it, I'm sure Wikipedia has a good write up on what the Thin Blue Line is all about. If it was a personal car and my guess is right, the car most likely belonged to a cop.

The Academy was one of the best experiences I have had. If you love discipline, pushups and running you'll love the Academy. As for the HID's, I dunno. I really have no clue on that one, my best guess would be just make sure the adjustment is right as to blind as few people as possible. As far as the license plate lights, that is about as minor of an equipment infraction as you can get. It should be a very minimal ticket, and many cops won't bother with a ticket such as that.

In many jurisdictions it would fall into some sort of indecent exposure or indecent act catagory. Just last night a fellow Officer (A female Officer, working the beat I usually work, damnit) was driving through a bar parking lot and saw a female's leg sticking up towards the roof inside a parked car. She stopped to make sure everything was ok, and it was two hot chicks butt ass naked going at it. They got charged, but it was a very busy parking lot on a very busy road. Why in the Hell couldn't that have happened the previous night? God hates me.
But I digress...I'd stay away from parking lots for sure. As far as back roads, be sure not to trespass on other people's properties and as long as you are away from people and traffic you'll really help your chances of not getting in trouble if you get caught.

In some jurisdictions that is illegal, the charge being "Avoiding an intersection" or similar.

This is why I don't like/write loud exhaust tickets (Not to mention my car isn't exactly quiet). I agree it is BS.

Yes, it is 100% legal. Why did your car smell like marijuana in the first place? 96.786% chance the cop wasn't imagining things.
Think about this: Are you aware that if a K-9 hits on your car (Smells drugs) the Police are able to search your car without your consent? If a K-9 hit is enough probable cause to give the Police authority to conduct a warrantless search, why wouldn't a human being able to smell drugs be enough PC to conduct the same search?
