Is this frowned upon? I have heard of people doing this for an additional drop, how much would it give you? Is there a disadvantage to doing this or cause any damage to the springs?

We do not recommend removing the isolators unless you have to....  we prefer having metal to metal components (springs & control/chassis) to be isolated with urethane or rubber at the least.

We do however have many customers who remove one or two isolators to even out or correct the lowering distance of their Mustangs....

You can make the decision...
