If you are trying to put it in a S197 be careful, the dimensions look good but our battteries have recessed terminals, there was another post which said the hood would not close right with the optima. Optima doesn't list a fit for the S197. I put in an Interstate MTP-40R. Great battery with more power. The blanket wouldn't fit so I left it off, the Interstate is a little longer. There are 2 little adapter blocks in the battery tray that come out to accomodate the longet battery. My 06 Motorcraft had a bad cell, I had underdrive puleys so I did it myself rather that letting my dealer tell me my pullies caused the problem.

Always liked the optima's. Might try to fit one under my hood once the motorcraft goes.

No clearance issues with mine at all. Had to modify the mount a little to accomodate the Weiand cover.

I just put a Yellow Top in my '02. I don't remember what size, but had the handy additional side terms for stereo connection.

BTW: if CAPS signify yelling in a post, what are ITALIC CAPS.....yelling in Italian?

If you want a battery that will make you faster, go with Odyssey.  These cars don't need big batteries, they have great alternators.

Hey Polk: Ya ever tried 8 AA 1.5 volt Duracell coppertops hooked up in parallel for weight savings? You should be able to save at least 25#  don't ya think L.O.L.
