Default I dont understand

Hey guys, I'm having trouble understanding the differences between all the different style camshafts, Hydraluic, Flat tappet, Hydralic flat tappet. It's got me all confused. I want to puchase a cam from ford racing the part number bieng M-6250-A351* The block I have is a 1984 Ford van, it was a factory four barrel also. I dont know what it is, solid lifter, roller, Flat tappet? Could somone refer me a link so I can read about all that, and their meanings.
Thanks guys
