*Note: This is in the wrong section, I know, it just seems more people view the street/strip.

What made you choose the Mustang over the Camaro?  Was it just looks? Or was it something else?  I'm really curious and i'm not looking to start a war/debate, just why you chose a Mustang over a Camaro.  Please only reply if you're going to have serious answer, not a "Chevy Sucks Yo".

I didn't really chose the mustang over the camaro, I've never really even considered looking at a camaro for various reasons.

Mainly because the mustangs look cooler IMO. Also, I drove both (SS) and GT before buying, the SS is a much faster car... (obviously) but as for as compfiness, GT has it hands down IMO. Also, the GT being 4k cheaper did help a little.

Well personally I hate the way the Camaros look.  They look like a catfish  I can tolerate them in black with some nice wheels but still.  I actually wanted and was looking at LS1 T/As.  Even wrecked they still were a pretty penny so I bought the GT since it was cheaper.  I lost a T/A at an auction by around $300.  I wish I had bought it now but I love this car too.  I just like the T/As because of the LS1 obviously, but a bigger attracting factor is the fact that you can get them with T-tops

It came down to looks and exclusivity for my Cobra. when I bought it I was also looking at a 2000 Z28 which was 2k cheaper and felt faster, but wasn't as rare as the Cobra. It wasn't until I saw the Cobra with it's top down that I chose it over the Camaro.

But when i drove my mustang i fell in love with it....

I wanted a 60's era muscle car. After looking for months and findng 20 thoudand dollar pieces of crap I started looking at newer models. Once I found out how much performace I could get out of a newer car and still have it a reliable comfy cruiser I changed my mind. After seeing the articles im MMFF and what the mustangs were capable of the decision was pretty easy. The comaros are pretty nice but I just liked the mustang better.

I think the Evo/STi would've been better choices for your 4 door needs

the mustang was 3k cheaper and with that extra 3 grand in mods I can walk all over camaros and alot of other stuff. Plus camaros are ugly and I hate the interior.

I just bought my car last month it came down to these 2 cars.

-2000 SS, LS1 133,000 miles.

-2002 stang V6 40,000 miles.

They were the same prince around 8500-9000, i still kinda regret not getin the LS1, sorry to say i still love camaros ive had my 91 for 3 years but in 5 years when (hopefully) the mustang still has a long life ahead of it and the camaro breaks down everyweek, like mine does now, ill knw i made the right choice

I never even considered a camaro, ugly in my opinion. Now a trans am... beautiful. But if i was gonna go f-bod i wanted a LS1 and didnt feel like paying that much for just a weekend cruiser, so i got the 5.0!

Hey, thanks for being a jackass. Dont like this thread? Don't reply.  The world could use less assholes like yourself.

*Edit: Also, I'm debating which car I should buy.

I like the look of the Mustang and the Camaro/Trans Am both.  The Camaro has more power out of the box. So i'm really leaning towards that, unless you guys know of a way to find a cheaper (99+) GT that i can make faster than an LS1, with less money. Oh yeah.. T-tops also make me like the f-body more.
