I rode in my first Camaro this week and its faster than my S197 but the interior is not anywhere close to as nice as mine.

Here we go again.  Lets get it over with...the fbody rules...Mustangs are crap.

I bought my car (first Mustang owned) because:

1. exterior
2. color...yes I like the lime
3. warranty
4. decent mileage for a V8 (save the "my fbody get better mileage" posts)
5. I love being the underdog
6. exterior

I do have to admit that the 04 Goat I looked at had a mmmuuuucccchhhh better interior....except for the HVAC knobs....

I bought my car over a mustang because of the performance first.  Then because i love the look of the WS6, interior and exterior.  I do also love the look of the Camaro SS, not really the Z28 though.  Does this car look like crap, heres a view of the T/A interior, which i like a lot.

You're the only one saying that...hell, I'd own a Mustang, as stated in this thread, if it wasn't for the whole title thing.  Of course, I'd prob never own a modular one

If you want to be the underdog you should have bought an import.

LOL, didn't want to be THAT much of an underdog.  All things aside, all the arguing over subjective stuff just gets old.  It seems like the same argument every other thread.

Although a civic or something on that line would have made more econimical sense with my commute.  At least I can have a little fun.

98--We get the idea.  You love your car.  Stop flooding this and every other thread with how much you love it, how much better it is, and how everyone else is wrong to have other opinions, regardless of the truth or falsehood of any statements made.  Also, you are crazy if you think any Fbody handles better than all Mustangs.  I would rape you through the twisties, even with 200hp less, guarantee it.  .  Then again, you'd rape me on the straights...for now.

Pewter--I actually really like the exterior look of the WS6.  If you put the interior of a new GTO in it, then it would be a pretty decent car all around.

I like the 02+ mustang exterior but not the interior the only thing I like when I'm inside a mustang is how the ram-air scoop looks

Pontiacs definately got the better end of the deal with the interior, it is soooo much better than the Camaro's.

I forgot to add, all my friends drive Mustangs.  So I needed something different, and why not go with the enemy?

There's no denying that this thread was going to become a pissing match on what cars better.....So I will settle it for everybody...

Mustangs and Camaro's are crapp...So the Corvette rules..lol   Maybe by this statement there will be a truce between the Stang and Maro guys in this thread and you can hammer away on Corvette owners for a while....Oh by the way I'll be logged off when the flaming commences...lol

I got to take a look inside a 05 GT the other day.  I must say that i like the interior better than my WS6, it is definately an improvement.  The New edges and earlier i didnt like at all, looked way to cheap to me.  But the WS6 has the power i wanted and modability.  At the time I bought my WS6 the 03 Cobras just came out and i really wanted one, but didnt wanna pay that much.  If i didnt have my WS6 i would either be buying a GT or a Vette, would rather have the vette, but i am sure i would like the GT alot also, especially for the lower cost.

When I was looking at 05s the interior upgrade package was rare to find.  I looked at several without the package but ordered mine with.  It is a night and day difference.

I do have to agree with the sentiments of several members who have posted in this thread thus far...................arguing over a subjective matter (opinions) is a complete waste of time.  Someone asked for the reasons us mustang owners chose the mustang over the camaro......so consequently you're gonna end up with alot of  "because I think camaros suck" responses.  You tell me how you're gonna successfully argue with someone who thinks like that and then I'll tell you what a genius you are.

Adding to my own reasonings, several ppl have stated about buying a certain car "because" everyone else they know drives the competition.  I found that to be a partial motivating factor for my GT purchase as well.  I am surrounded by GM fanboys at work, and my two best friends are pro-GM/anti-Ford dudes as well.  So having a fast, nice lookin new Mustang GT that shames everything they all own (performance-wise) somehow manages to put a little smile on my face when I think about it.

Now I just need to stay one mod ahead of the two LS1 Z guys at my work that are determined that their rematches with me will go differently than the first runs.

I agree, the frontend of the WS6 is an absolute modern muscle work of art.  I was always a bit iffy on the tall spoiler......but not enough to steer me away from liking the car as a whole.  Maybe one day down the road I'll look into one as a hobby track/street car........when asking prices are in the realm of the sane.

The hood is really bad ass, just don't like how the bottom "snouts" flow into the hood.  Something seems just a bit off.

hmmm why i bought my mustang.... i had a 93 firebird formula.... not a bad car and I really liked it but it was an auto and **** was breaking so I wanted to get rid of it. needless to say, the only car in town with all the dealerships was a silver mustang gt, which I didnt even notice on the lot at all until i had driven a few other embarassing cars (sentra se-r specv), thank god I really didnt wanna buy that pile. so I took a peek into this silver mustang which now had my attention since it was a 5spd, leather, and looked damn good. so I drove it and the year stickers peeled off the window when i floored it so I had to buy it. I love ta's a lot but I really love the look of the 99-02 mustangs so I signed my old car away and I've been happy since. although I did get bored so the mustang forced me to get boost... and thats just too bad i spose....

If your talking about pewter's pic from above, I think his hood isn't snapped down all the way.  Because the WS6's I've seen up close had a nice seamless flow from the bottom vents to the hood/hood vents.
