some of the voices in my head were telling me to get a mustang, and some of the voices in my head were telling me to get a camaro.... the ones telling me to get a camaro were speaking in a different language so I got really confused... panicked.... and went with the stang

or you know... I just walked onto a dealer lot and said "that one!"

Pretend that your favorite car has been a Mustang since you were about 5 years old. Also pretend your parents had a '85 GT that they enjoyed, and then pretend that you were in love with classic Mustangs, pretend your dad bought a '72 Mach 1 while you were a junior in high school, and then pretend that you found a Mustang *which we are pretending is your favorite car* in blue, which happens to be your favorite color, and then pretend that it was an EXCELLENT price, and on top of that, pretend it was on the first page of the first Auto trader magazine you were looking at once you decided you'd spend your money on a Mustang.

If you pretend all this, I think the answer is pretty simple.

If insurance wasnt high I could of picked up a cobra,I can afford the payment but not the insurance lol. I wouldnt mind a Z28 or SS camaro but I chose the stang because it just looks better.

I just love fox mustangs.  Love the looks, love the 5.0.  Only camaro that looks good was the 87-92, but theyr slow as balls.  The newer maro/TA just dont do it for me.  Neither do the sn95 stangs for that matter.  I wanted a car that i liked the looks of, that had a v8 with potential.

Hey, thanks for being a jackass. Dont like this thread? Don't reply.  The world could use less assholes like yourself.

*Edit: Also, I'm debating which car I should buy.

I like the look of the Mustang and the Camaro/Trans Am both.  The Camaro has more power out of the box. So i'm really leaning towards that, unless you guys know of a way to find a cheaper (99+) GT that i can make faster than an LS1, with less money. Oh yeah.. T-tops also make me like the f-body more.

Even stock LT1's make more than a stock GT...

Doesn't mean they are the better motor. They respond well to nitrous, but they have their problems...

I was actually looking at 3rd gen Camaros before I bought my car, but all the ones in my area were rotted and the T-tops leaked. My dad pulled into my driveway with my current 'bird and I loved it. The 5spd, T-tops, solid body and low price made me buy it. Even though it has 186,000 miles, she still runs like near new. The color could have been better, but the ladies love the purple. So I knew this had to be my first car, and I'm glad it still is.

Back in the 99-02 timeframe I drooled all over the LS1 WS6's.......but I was married and didn't have a chance in hell of ever owning one.  And then in 04 the S197 stangs came out just as I was getting separated and had money to burn again.........the rest is history.

The Camaro never made much of a ripple in my pond, and the fact that my best buddy has the whole "GM is the shiznit---Camaros are badass---Fords suck" mentality didn't make me very prone to switching over to his side.  I'll own a Camaro when he starts hatin on them.............and when they become better looking and more affordable than a Mustang GT.

In 2003 I was looking at both the 2002 Stang GT and the 2002 Camaro Z28 and they were comparably priced(Trans Ams were too $$$). I believe the most important part of the car is what's under the hood, so I bought the Mulletmobile.
Now I want an S197 GT.

I have owned A LOT of F-bodies and I just wanted a change.  I love the way the stangs sound.  Obviously I didn't get one because of the horsepower.  I really like the way my Cobra feels and sounds.  It's a really versatile car and the Modular engine is really amazing when you think about it.  That little 4.6 makes just as much HP as the big 5.7s that I used to drive.  I do have to say though, that a black WS6 is one bad looking mo fo.  At the same time though the Cobra and the Mach have that, "I could kill you if i wanted to" look about them.  My wife still drives my IROC-Z though so it's all about AMERICAN MUSCLE!!!

Theres nothing wrong with getting information about particular car from people who own them over the internet. The forums are a great way to interact and share thoughts and ideas.  I would trust the guys in here before some cheesy ass car salesman any day. All the dealerships want to do is sell you whatever they can. So I support, no...I encourage people to ask questions about vehicles purchases. You might learn something before you get stuck with a 4 year deal. But atleast everyone added their opinions and not some smart ass childish coment. I won't call out names.

I'm not asking for them to choose one for me. I am asking WHY they chose one over the other.  You're making yourself look stupid.  Of course they'll say get the mustang, this is a mustang forum.  Doesnt mean i dont like the Camaro better.
