I really like that look!  I'm actually getting mine on Fri.

I agree with what has been said, depends on the car and the styling. I dont think I would like one on my car.

I don't think that they look good on fox bodies, but they look good on 05's and up. (my2cents.)

I don't have either but I would get a real functional roll bar if (and when?) I get a newer V-8 (mines a six).  That's cause I know of a friend who had a wreck when he struck a truck (he had a ragtop but don't more than that).  He went into a coma for about 8 months, and when he came out, well he's not all there if you know what I mean.  That means I will likely drive a v8 with a bit more "enthusiasm" and I would get
-more- concerned about safety.  The roll bar would be there primarily for safety, and I would want it to look good if possible.

Light bar? forget it.

they definately aren't made for structural support if you actually roll the car, but they do strengthen the chassis a bit. also, you can't crush them just from leaning on them. my bar could withstand a baseball bat being swung at it. as a matter of fact, you'd probably hurt your hands more than the bar.

i love the look, only thing i dont like about them (well mine) is that when i hit the brake with the top up and someone is in the back seat they get a big red light in the face lol, sometimes its a good thing but other times not.

thats why you make a circuit that disables the light when the top is up.

Yeah .. buy the switch .. remove the back seat .. cut the wire from the light bar ... you splice in the conv. top motor .. ( comes with easy directions to follow ) and into the light bar .. put the top up and down and from that point on .. brake light only comes on when the top is down .. great cheap mod for us vert owners w. light bars .. most people have no clue about it .. I could have never driven around with a brake light glowing in my car haha ... anyway .. LIGHT BAR FOR THE WIN ... 99-04's just don't look finished with out them .. its like a bath tub with a windsheild .. you had the light bar and it becomes a sports car again ...
