Dunno if you mentioned it but did you get an sct? Because if you get a vortech they send you a diablo tuner but it is a piece of poop

You can order the tuner kit which is the supercharger only.. you need to supply the tuner, injectors....   I already had an X-Cal2...

I'm an auto myself. Is that 313hp from the crank? And how much did the Vortech cost you? You got a link that I can check it out? Also, is your car your daily driver? Mine is my daily driver and I just want to know if putting a S/C will give me problems without other upgrades

313 is to the ground... so figure 360 to 370 HP at the crank...  My car is my daily driver... and my show car... and my race car... I've got close to 20,000 HARD miles on my car with the Vortech..

As far as pricing... my Vortech was part of a larger package that included a used 4.0L... (i had an oops with the good 'ol N20...)  So I'm not sure what the out the door pricing on the Vorteh was... LOL!

PetePete I am purchasing an SCT2 next week..and Scrming you think the X-Charger looks better under the hood than the Vortech? Cause I def dont lol I love the way the Vortech looks. I was looking at your page and your car is awesome. BTW love the new hood, I am in love with that hood. So is there a link where I can see the S/C from Vortech for the 6? I saw the GT one. And which one exactly do you have? Also, you say the X is more coin, does that mean the Vortech is under $4 G's? Sorry for all the questions lol I'm getting excited!! haha

Here is the setup I have... The V6 HO tuner kit... it's basically only the supercharger and intercooler... you will need to supply a tuner (like an x-cal2) and injectors...

http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/product_variation.php?pvk=870

List price is $3782... this is for a 10PSI setup...  a more even comparsion to the x-charger would be the non-intercooled version for $2777...  These are LIST prices... you can find better pricing...

any site sponsor will try their best to help you most of the times.  Just ask them, and see which one gives you the best price.  Just tell them you're comparing prices and are looking for the best price.

4FU218-620SQ 2005-2006 Mustang V6 4.0L V-2 SQ S-Trim High-Output System $4563.95/ea

the full HO kit is quite a bit more than a full HO x-charger. (the full kit of the HO vortech WILL out perform the x im not trying to say it wont)

4FU218-610SQ 2005-2006 Mustang V6 4.0L V-2 SQ S-Trim Standard System

that is much closer to the x-charger because it is actually complete, not the injectorless, tunerless kit you just posted.  and it costs 3500.  still quite a bit less money, but a much more fair comparison to the full x-charger kit.  Again a centri system costs quite a bit more to install just a note.

still quite a bit less expensive than the x, just trying to make sure you use comparable kits.  Again the vortech does out perform the x-charger, i am just trying to use the most comparable gets so he can get a better idea of what he wants.

And the thing like i said about 60' has a TON of other factors.  I beleive rainbowcyxx on the **** did a 1.9 60' on stock rubber and stock gearing with his procharger...  http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford-Mustang-Timeslip-11042.html

just trying to make a point here, dont want to start an argument really.

if i were you i wouldn't mess around with getting everything seperately because again (not to insult you) you really know little on the subject and it may save you a headache just getting a complete kit.

I'm used to it, as are many other v6 enthusiasts.   I like having an underdog car, gets more props at the track.   Oh, I meant to link in the Xcharger site as well:  http://explorerexpresscom.nationprotect.net/index.shtml

All three are high quality.

I saw the two Vortech Kits. Do you have any idea on the gains from the one that doesn't have the aftercooler? I ask that because it is in my immediate price range and I wouldn't have to save up any more and I am chomping at the bit as it is lol

I'm not sure, I would guess in the 260-280rwhp with a good tune.  Not sure.   Personally, I would save up for the intercooled kit.

#003 xcharger here, I cut a 1.97 60' on one of my last runs in December, still working on my launches, that was on M/T ET streets but with stock rearend, I anticipate shaving that time with some more practice and an upgrade over the stock rear. I agree with everyone here about either option will be a lot of fun, not a lot said about the turbo, probably the most expensive but also it looks like it would give you the highest dyno numbers available on just the stock block, keep saving your money so whatever system you get you can get a dyno tune done with your car, and sorry to say but you will spend anywhere from probably 350 to 1000 bucks for a good dyno tuning session, also get everything you need in one kit, any money you might be able to save wont be worth the benefit if you have any warranty issues with it, all that said I am partial to the Xcharger, to some it may not be the best but it is for me for many reasons.

Hey Rygen, from what I have read it seems like the ProCharger is a little less reliable then the Vortech...It seems logical because of the lower boost involved but it just that the boost? or is ProCharger just not as a solid a buy???
