I've got a buddy that brags about how much Hp, he has in his 91 LX 5.0. heres a rundown of what he has:

Now he's claiming 400-425 RWHP, could this be feesable? I find that hard to believe. I have an 05 Stang GT, if I were to put those parts or equal, I'd be lucky to break 350-375RWHP. And I know I came stock with at least 40-50 more HP than a 91 LX 5.0. If anyone can help me prove him wrong I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

40-50??? LOL, try 80hp. I dont know much about modding...but my guess...guess would be w/ a SC he could be at 400whp...

with what he has done he's at least at the 350 HP mark minimum, as long as it was all put together correctly. those cars came like 240 HP from ford so they've got a ways to catch up to the s197. but doing a heads, intake, cam combo is a huge hit in horsepower if done correctly. not to mention it takes his fox mustang from being just a bottom end car to wear it has a lot more rev and pulls a lot more through the top end like our s197's do.but like you were saying about your car and if you did those mod's, then he wouldn't come touch to touching you.

I raced my buddies 93 lx, used to be a 2.3L but he put in a 5L outta a 89 gt I believe. His interior was completly gutted, think the motor is completly stock cept he had a 100 shot nitrous. I kicked his ass by 7 lengths, my car complelty stock. I took him off the line and after 130km/h we were even, at 7 lenghts. So, it should be close if you guys race.

First...everyone loves to exaggerate. ex. Fishing- "Hey, I caught a 20 lb bass that was 36" long"...in reality...a 6 lb about 19" long. Long story short and I'm not saying this to be a smart @ss...there's only one true way to find out...get a scale and a tape measure...ie. go to THE DYNO.
