I have an issue with my 10 inch subwoofer. It has never worked in the cold and cuts itself off. It stopped working about 2 weeks ago when we got with some cold weather. It is warm now and it will not cut back on. I have even un hooked it and re-hooked it back up. I know that I did not blow it because I would have heard it go. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it?
what kinda power you puttin through it with what gauge cable? where do you have it grounded? my gf's car would randomly cut out and not come back on til she restarted the car. turned out the ground wire wasn't grounded properly.
it's only hooked up to a 300 watt amp with 600 watt peak
The only wires I messed with are the pos. and neg. ones that hook up to the back of the sub. I am 99% sure I hooked them up righ tbu tthey may have been mixed up. I will check them again. Where is the fuse located?
not really sure what your actuall problem is but alot of people dont realize that your subs need to warm up to, instead of letting them warm up in the cold mornings alot of people just get in their cars and blast them

+1 your amp needs to heat up too... i wired my subs onto a switch with the remote line... that way if i ever have a head ach or when its cold like this i dont turn them on until the car is heated up
