post em up pics, specs, please

Igot my rimsyesterday and it was mostly dumb luck that i got stuff that fit as there is really no info on this site. everyone is more performance oriented and dont really like the dubs, and wont give a real answer bout what will fit .

Putting 20" wheels on a 99-04 mustang is just plan retarded. The 05+ on the other hand is a different story, they are actually designed to look good with bigger wheels.

i figured it wouldnt take to long be before an ignorant comment showed up . and what make the people that put 19s on their car here more acceptable?

So did you get 20's, if so post a pic of yours. There was a thread on this site not long ago with some pics of 20's on 99-04 Stangs, but there weren't that many cuz it's not common. After seeing the pictures I don't really mind them, maybe look just a bit too big. The real problem seems to be that you need to go with a real low profile tire to get it to fit, and that's fine for a show car, but not really practical for a daily driver.

As for getting info on this, or any site, sometimes the info won't to you, you have to go out looking for it.

PS: I do agree with Korn that 05+ look great with 20's.

I dont believe that any thing bigger than 18's should be put on a new edge, they just look to big for the body and it hurts performance which is the soul purpose of a mustang.

I wouldnt do 20's but if someone can pull it off and make it look good then hey, do what u like. Its ur car not anyone elses.

20s? Are you serious? Mustangs are muscle cars, not ghetto cruisers....

Of course, S197s are the exceptions....

indeed, it did hurt performance a bit. form over function is the way i had a friend put it. all im saying is dont hate. im not asking anyone one else to put 20s on their car. i was tryin to contribute to the forum, since ive seen the question bout 20s asked before and before anyone can give some input, the retarded and ghetto remarks start poppin up. hey thatsjust not your cup of tea and thats cool, its not like im hurting the performance of your car

Were not hatin were just sayin that they dont look good thats why no one hardly has 20's on their stangscuz you can't pull it off unless its an 05-07 body.... think about it youll never see a 99-04 mustang in DUB magazine!!!

Ehhh, personaly i dont like 20's on edges most of the time. Theirs always exceptions that they will look alright on. As long as you like them, and the looks outweigh the performance disadvantage to you, then thats all that matters.

I agree, not to rag on anyone but 17" max unless you have an aftermarket noseclip like a saleen cobra R lookalike etc. Then you can pulloff the 18"s.

hahaha funny thing is, is that there is a 99-04 mustang in my city with 20unch spinners and i think it looks cheesy.

[sm=badidea.gif]

That's horrible. Of course I'm not a fan of spinners on anything, but you can kind of get away with it on an Escalade or those old Cadillacs or something. But a Mustang?

Everytime somebody puts chrome 20's on a Mustang, God kills a kitten. Please, think of the kittens.

I agree that 20's a.k.a. "D's" a.k.a. DUBs a.k.a. Twinkies look very nice on the 05-07 body style. I would never put a 20 a.k.a. "D" a.k.a. DUB a.k.a. Twinky on my 04 GT.

An intelligent remark on your end might justify a similarly intelligent reply on mine.

i don't think 20's look bad on some mustangs, i had 20" bullits on mine and i liked em, alot of ppl have complimented on them. i'm selling them now though because i'm saving money up to mess wiith my engine. and by all means you can call 20's "dubs", because they are, it's just another name for them.

I agree. I think 20's look real good on other cars, but not the mustangs. I just got a mustang & started wondering which rims look best to me. I like 17 - 18 in. chrome ford racing rims that I have seen here or some rims that were black with chrome.( same size )

I don't think 20's in general look bad but the huge chrome SUV type rims like you have don't look right to me. They're too big and heavy to be put on a sports car.

If that's in response to mine... then you might need to check the resolution on your monitor. That is the first time I rolled the mustang out of the shop... the bumper is in gray primer, the hood is carbon fiber. That is pre-paint.
