Default Dumb Newb Question

My speaker cuts out. It is an Infinity something. The pair was like $80 and I was wondering if I should a) plan on new speakers or b) somebody could tell me how to see if its blown and maybe tell me something simple that may make it cut out and on as the music plays. Thanks in advance

Check the connections on your wiring harness. Solder the connections to make sure they dont separate when u hit a bump. Also make sure that the negative and positive are not reversed, this will make speakers sound terrible/ not work.

Actually changing the polarity of the speakers will have little to no difference on sound quality as long as you do it to both. If one speaker is out of phase you create opposite waves that will cancel eachother out to a degree.

I would definately check all your wiring connections as mentioned above.
