Default 315's on a 95 V6 Stang?

So I'm looking at a 1995 SN95 Mustang V6. Somebody was telling me that I would not be able to put the 315/35R17's in the back and 275/40R17's on the front. Can I do that? Or are the axles on the V6 shorter than the V8 rears?
