Default Speaker problems

I recently installed a pair of Infinity Kappa 572.5cf 5X7, 100w RMS, 300W peak on a JVC KD-LH300 deck. I am experiecing feedback (or cracking) at high volume. What causes this? How do I fix it?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Todd

start off checking simple things like all connections and make sure there are no bare wire anywhere. You may be putting to much power to the speakers and they would give cracking sound.

I agree with ACE look for loose ground connections and bare wire. For the popping try adjusing your bass a little lower at those higher volumes.

also check and make sure that nothing is touching the speaker because that could give you a cracking sound. Let us know how you made out!

Checked all the wires, no problems. I think is may be that the Infinity's can't handle the high volume so I'm going to install some pioneers....

Thanks for the help.
