i have a 200 V6 and ther service engine soon light came on a few days ago. the thing is my car is running perfectly normal and everything is fine i dont feel a difference. i dont know what to do or check anymore. if anyone has had a similar experience please let me know. thanx

If you got gas recently it could be that you left the gas cap loose.  Check engine light is emission based.  Most cars fun fine with the check engine lite on but it is annoying and you should really have it checked if it does.

Get the code pulled thats setting the light off, then go from there.  The check engine light doesnt necessarily mean someting is wrong with your engine, just that something is wrong with your emissions system.  But yea, even a loose gas cap can set it off since your emissions system puts a vacuum in your tank to keep any fumes from getting out once you turn your car off.  If it can't pull a certain vacuum it will trip your light.  You can tighten your cap and reset the computer by unplugging your battery for 15 mins to try to get it to go away.

i opened and reclosed the gas cap and reset the computer and it worked.

pull the neg. battery post. for about 1 min. then put it back on
