Default Do you constantly get compliments on your classic stang?

...and if you do...

Do you like or hate it?

I get oohs and ahhs, and my ride is not even painted yet, I get comments like "man, that's a cool car!", "how much something like this is worth", and ocassionally, "do you want to sell it?"

You guys go through the same thing?

ya i get it all the time. if im at a light and someone is next to me about 50% of the time i get a thumbs up of a honk. i work/worked at schucks and id say about once a week someone will come in asking who ones the mustang. i love the compliments. course then someone always says "are you willing to sell it?". i was always saying "no" but in the last couple weeks i kinda wish id gotten that question more. ive been in school the last 4 or so months and am looking to sell it unfortunatly

I get it alot down here in socal, every1 wants to own classic cars. Problem is every1's rich and having a midlife crisis. Which in return leaves me with phone # notes on my windsheild asking if the cars for sale. I'm saving all the #'s and may have an auction one day if i want to lol.

I was driving mine down the motorway and up speeds this yellow ferrari 550 gave me then thumbs up and then he stepped on it. I just though what car that cost at about 5% of what the other guy was driving would get that response.

I get the normal thumbs up, etc. Constant questions at the fuel stations. I get the ricers doing flybys only to get embarrased at the next light.

My wife on the other hand - has had folks drive off the road, follow her into fuel stations, etc. There was one time when she was coming out of a local jiffy store here close to the house and another fella was fueling his truck and his wife was in the passanger seat. He kinda looks at the car as my wife gets in and says ( according to my wife he was looking at his wife ) damn, I think I need to trade my car in, with the wife in it!

Good times!

Cheers.

The most common question I get is, "Is that a 64 1/2 or a 65?" So, people are educated about these old classics. Occasionally, I get a thumbs up from a newer Mustang with a guy in it, but never with a girl in it. Girls just don't know what we have.

not much, but then again the car never leaves base, however when I do it's usually a wave from the other classic drivers, a few from newer mustangers, and of course the kids go crazy over it.
