i just wanted to say that this shift light is the greatest... it was easy to install and only took 20 minutes to do. the directions are very simple to follow, a child could do it(not really, but you know what i mean).. you don't need a tack adapter, its small, and its bright as hell. for all of you that don't like the big tacky looking tach/shiftlight, this is perfect...

A big light that says hey bonehead... "you've reached the rev number you told me you wanted me to remind you to shift at"... by turning on some lights for you to see...

They sell a larger stand alone shift light in jegs for about half the money, but I've got to admit I like the small size of this one.

So if there is no adapter how does this one hook up?

I have one, it has a 7600 rpm pill... just wish I had the instruction to hook it up.

ground/ecu plug/coil is all you'd need to do and it's installed.

oh and i got mine for free from a guy on hondaswap. he rules.

Thanks....so I'm assuming they are easy to put in. The reviews on them are real good. I think I might buy one.

I got the MSD shift light years ago. Greatest thing ever for braket racing, it easy to get real deadly. What I would do is put the pill 100-200 RPM under what I wanted to shift at. That way you have time to react and you'll get it just right. I was using a car with an automatic trans and could pull 5-6 runs all within 2-3 thousandths of each other, this was done in a footbrake car.

Not only are shift lights ricey, but they are a waste of $. If you need a shift light to tell you when to shift, you haven't driven your car enough. Hay, if you're runnin a super gas car or super steet car, that is different. If I looked over and saw a gt stang with a shiftlight, I'd want to race that guy, because I would assume he was an amature driver. -And they do look awfully ricey.

Then why do so many people use the drag racing?

a shift light is more accurate than the stock tach, and its cheaper than an aftermarket tach

Yeah, if you are bracket racing A LOT, then I could see doing the shift light. -But to me that's where using a shiflight ends.
