Man that seems so long ago... back then that previous model owners were more excited about our cars debut than anything. Now all I seem to get is disgust from them... Im not sure why.

Back right after I joined the forum underwent an exiting where some of the more technical and experienced members left. And apparently there was either 1 or 2 more of those exitings before I joined. The only thing I gathered at the time was that the forum had switched from the technical talk and became alot more BSing and screwing around and they werent happy with the way things were changing so they left.

i don't get it.. did you just say theese cars are mid-low 13s with only DRs? and on street tires 13.9 would be impressive? or did i get you wrong? because i have ran 13.43 @ 102.38mph stock on 18" stock rubber..

some people say the real dyno is track an according to my track numbers, my car is making 302rwhp stock..so the real dyno is not track!

also, i have been running CONSISTENT 13.6 @ 102mph.

I agree... there are some people here that this forum pretty much revolves around (technical wise).

I stand "somewhat" corrected... although untuned its still no where near a mid 13 second car on street tires... a 13.9 would be impressive. This car, afterall, is like driving a semi down the track with that extremely un-aerodynamic front end - but the power... for reference a stock 99-04 GT lays down about 225 rwhp

countless people have run 13.5-13.8 at 102-104 STOCK down to the filter...13.9 is an AVERAGE run by an AVERAGE driver imo. i ran 13.2 @ 107 with 4.10s and a canned tune, stock everything else down to the filter.

That's what I'm talking about !!!!

MODS are great, but, stock is still FAST !............. Basically, we are talkin' maybe .1 to.2 FASTER after $1900 in upgrades, and how often do you use that "stuff" ?.............. and driver error needs to be considered.

Personally, the POWER of this car is enough to satisfy me. FORD did a good job.
For those of you who choose to mod.... GO FOR IT !!
I'd (personally) rather add the body /interior parts to make my MUSTANG look classic/retro.
NOW, don't start calling me a "ricer"
Please remember I "dug" up this thread............ A BLAST FROM THE PAST....................... (only 2 years)
IMHO
THANKS

so, seriously dude, why do you say stock stang is not no where near mid 13s? only DRs and tune wuld get us mid-low 13s? why? there are ton of people ran mid 13s low 13s including me. stone stock to air filter, on stock rubber.

check my sig. link and that is just a 13.66 run..with a best 1.93 60' on stock rubber.
