Jdan, just wondering where you got this information?? Or did you read it from a tire on an actual 05. Because we have one at our dealership, the tires are Pirelli Pzero's 235/55zr17s.

Here's the dyno chart, the red is a stock '04 mach1 and the blue is the '05 GT

Well, my tuner (modular powerhouse in Alpharetta) just dyno'd an '05 GT...

This FUGGIN thing just laid down 279 rwhp, 300rwtq STOCK ... a/f was way rich 11:1 ... says with a tune (more timing, less fuel) this beast will hit 300 rwhp... STOCK!

Guys, the '05 GT made more hp than ANY stock Mach1 he's ever dyno'd... O...M...G

Unbelievable. Ford seriously undertuned and underrated this mustang. With a REAL tune this is a mid-low 13 second car with drag radials.

I stand "somewhat" corrected... although untuned its still no where near a mid 13 second car on street tires... a 13.9 would be impressive. This car, afterall, is like driving a semi down the track with that extremely un-aerodynamic front end - but the power... for reference a stock 99-04 GT lays down about 225 rwhp

I just wanted to take this moment to make a ass out of my self and say:

I TOLD YA I TOLD YA I TOLD YA.

:)

05=woot

What I dont like about them are the tires... 245/55/17's! Thats just to tall of a tire and looks like sh!t in my opinion. Hey, Joe...as of right now I have 276rwhp. With a good tune what would I be looking at?

next year they are releasing the 18's they did that so the over all diam is the same.

Md, was the mach 1 an auto or manual. My buddys mach 1 ( 04) made 279, and 307 ft ls at performance dyno in concord, nh. I think they dyno'd an automatic.

I drove one a little over a week ago...and that ****ing thing moved....With the right driver behind the wheel it might run low 13's stock..

kinda, sorta, amazing about all this...
as the original poster, or no one else in this thread-- mentioned CAI's ,underdrive pullies, catbacks, aluminum drive shafts, 4:10's, throttle bodies, etc...
A lot of history and changes in 2 short years. 279rwp seems higher than what we all know now. Anyway, I just dug this up and thought it would be interesting to bring it out of the archives, and let it thread on down through again. It's a cool post. JMO

Those are great numbers stock but i have heard a lot of people say they can get mid 13s stock with no problem i think 13.9 maybe a little stretch ... but with a good tune it is a beast.........

IDK IF THIS IS TRUE.... but i read somewhere 20% of the GTs made have more hp and tq than "stock" and 20% have less than "stock" and the other 60% are right on target where ford says "stock" is.... but im not sure how true that is and im sure its not a huge difference between the ones higher or lower maybe 5 or so hp

But awesome numbers

i got a 13.498 in the 1/4 and i'm 100% stock down to the rubber and i even have the shaker 1000 for extra weight. so yes it's doable.

i think 99% of the cars dyno 260-285whp stock and the other 1% are either higher or lower.

Yeah I got a 13.59 100% stock as well...and i hit the rev limiter at the top of 3rd before the end so it probably had a little more in her...

TOO kewl, ain't it ? Does, (just speculating) did FORD pull back on something ? or was the "hot rod" world ready for this beast ?
My daughter's ' 05 vert, is a dog compared to my '06.
To say it again, WHAT a difference 2 years makes !
Most of the posters, from this original topic, are inactive, and (they had great posting numbers) Maybe they are on another forum, but, WOW........ where did most ov em go ?
