My brothers friend just bought a brand new GTO. 400HP stock. i raced him just to see if i could keep up. first and second we were nose to nose then he hit third and pulled away. he ended up beating me by a 1 1/2 car lengths but we only got up to around 88 MPH. any faster and he would of really embarressed me. just thought i'd share that with ya'll i never realized how fast those cars where.

Yes he's right '06 was the last year for it. No more GTO, unlike the Mustang. Even though they may be fast, they were too generic looking and did not sell, which is why every Pontiac dealer has leftovers that they are selling cheap. They look too much like Grand Prixs. So, in the end, your friend has another poorly thought out GM car that is almost worthless. Compare what a same year GTO and Mustang is worth.
