Wow take it easy. When you only have one car and you HAVE to go somewhere you have no choice. It sucks to be in his position about now. There could have been other circumstances but it is possible that he had no chioce. I can feel his pain. I use my car as my DD.

Hell, even my V6 slides in the rain. I don't think it's worth it to take some 400hp rwd monster out in a snow storm. Unless he was caught in it or something. Mustangs are not bad weather cars.

hahaha hes a dumbass. Nothin to chill about, you can afford a 92 civic in the paper or somethin.

Thats just being idiotic. Period.

If you have a sports car in a snowy place, you can have a wintercar to back it up, or you shouldnt be driving the sportscar at all.

like Carlos Mencia says... "Dee Dee Dee!!!"

Because some can afford a second car no matter what it is and how much it is doesnt mean everone can. Its not just hte price of the car, its storage, maintaince and insurance for the second car. And again, you dont know the circumstances which he was out driving so why not give the guy the benefit of the doubt?

Like I said before, if you own a sports car in a nothern state where winter=snow, then you better have a place to store it (hell even your DRIVEWAY with a cover on it is fine), and a little cash set aside to buy a winterbeater.

Its all part of owning a high performance sports car. If you cant do all that, you shouldnt even consider buying the car.

I just got to say that I drive my bolted on 97 cobra in the winter... hell the first day I got it I had to drive about 45 miles in about a foot of snow just to get it home... that might have been the most stressful 45 miles...and I now live in Texas, but if a person drives their mustang smart it is the same as driving most any car. At the same time, when a person makes the commitment to driving their Cobra in the snow/rain/icey weather, they have to be willing to accept what comes with it...

.....Ora personcould just learn how to drive in the snow. There's no telling what happened with the Cobra, but if you take your time and don't accelerate on curves along with some other tips, you'll be fine. It would be easier to just get a 4X4 beater, but some of us don't have that available right away. I have to drive in this crap with gears. I just take off in 2nd and baby the throttle until I reach a cruising speed. I've had no problems so far. I had a friend at work that has busted his rim in his 4x4 because he didn't realize that Ice has no favorites. All 4 wheels on a 4x4 slide on ice when you are cornering and believe they are invincible. I've seen several lose control while attempting to display their SUV'sskillz in the snow[X(]. They are better, but not invincible in the wrong hands.

lets just say i played chicken on ice with a guard rail and lost. Not too much damage, i was planning on replacing the parts anyways. The front bumper needs new which had a crack anyways so thats being replaced, and the front headlight got smashed so i get a set of 01 clear corners smoked....oh no!
