I used to sell them. The motor is actually manufactured by Yamaha. How bout that, a ford ricer. Quite fast for a big sedan, but unfortunatly it had a cheapy interior, i.e., sun visors falling apart, rips in the seams of the seats (leather, no less), etc.

He might have been useing the hand break.. but I have seen my friend do one almost that good without having to go hand break.  Like I said before SHOs have really bad traction problems.  Thats why they can only go low 15 high 14 second 1/4 miles.  The SHOGUN with the same engine runs low 13s to high 12s. And still is considerd one of the best handleing cars of all time.

sho's run 15 because thats all they can run, not because of traction.  Sure, throw some slicks on it and it will run faster, but so will almost any car made.  Oh, and show me a stock sho running 14's plz

Well there are two things you will just have to take my word on about SHOs running high 14s. 1 there is an article somewhere showing that it wasnt uncommon for SHOs to break into the 14s.  That I will try and find. And 2 my friend had bought a bone stock 1991 SHO plus with 60,000 miles on it and he knocked off a 14.8 at sears point raceway in 2002. I will ask if he still has the time slip. So yes they are capable of running 14s you just have to really really learn and know everything about the car. T5superduty37890.7571990741

I have owned a 94 SHO since I bought it in 96. It is now my winter beater. It is not NEARLY as fast as a stock 03 Mustang GT and the GT barely makes 14s. And as far as the handling... its a front wheel drive taurus over a decade old. It was a serious car in its day, but its day has passed. I thought my SHO was the shiznit till I got out and drove a few newer cars.

SHO's can still be fun, even ones over a decade old. Mine is about 500hp and has a lot of suspension mods, but even my stock one is quite fun for a big FWD sedan. Here is a little vid I made

They were Super cars back in there day, know they are super used cars for not much $$$

i know in my area (the bay area) i can pick one up for about 1500-2500 with 80-150k miles...

not bad!!!!

they have good looks, decent aceleration and are about the same as the new fusion.

all im saying is try to buy any other 10 year old front drive sedan like a honda acord or toyota corola and try to have as much fun as you would in a SHO....not possible!!!!
