I have a 1973 Grande, with 351 Clvd. I have parked it until August or so for the following upgrades:
Bigger Cam
Rebuilt Heads (2V) from friend
New chain
Roller Rockers
3.5 in rear end (currently 2.75)
Tractions Bars
750 4BBL (currently 600)
Rebuild C-6 , shift kit, and 2,200 stall convertor (I'm having that done!)
New Cragar S/S (15x10) in rear ...
This is where I need the help. I am pretty sure I can fit 295/50-15's without modification...am I mistaken? I am very new to suspension work...what would it take to lift the back-end 1.5 inches? One person said spacers on my shocks, but that seems ridiculous at the strain created before I parked it. Also, will the 15x10 cragar wheels fit with 4.25 inch backspacing and the 295's?
This is my first post to forum...looking forward to offering advice if any I can and I appreciate any help. Also, what are some weight reducing ideas maybe I haven't thought of.
