Oh yes... as I mentioned in my other attempts to post these photos, the guys at my Mustang shop really want to know what you think. This is the first time they're set up an engine like this and want your feedback.
It's funny - but we have daily meetings about your posts!
All I can say is wow. That car is the whole package. If you can I would like to see more angles of the exterior. I am painting my fastback soon and original color was black and I would like to see how different mouldings and chromes look with the black. Damn man, wanna trade?
Assembly is still in progress. All will be in place - as it should - within the next few days.
Soaring, I know you can be tough on non-stock cars - but I'd really like to hear your opionion about the engine design thus far...
Not sure why you want my opinion on restomodded classic mustangs. I know nothing about them, but it sure looks pretty, and obviously you have spent a lot of money on look good and maybe go fast parts. Big deal. What have you added to that engine that will make that car perform better? When you figure that out, keep that upgraded part and sell the rest of that shiny sh!t that doesn't add any performance to your engine.
Interior restoration to begin right away... I'll post some exterior shots (the paint is a 7 on a 10 scale). Since it will be a frequent driver, I decided to put my money in the engine and interior. This will be no garage queen!
well if you want my opinion, im not a huge chrome fan, i wouldve gone with satin finish, but neverthe less youd spank me in a race, so it works however, my only real dislike is the red/black valve covers with the blue block, maybe a red block (maybe too chevy for you i dunno if you care or not) and it would be lookin mean! great ride anyway man, tell the shop dudes they doin a great job!
You are obviously completely out of my league. You are a restomod nut, and I am a leave it as an original man. I know virtually nothing about how to hook up a paxton super charger, and really don't want to know. I hope you enjoy your restomod.
Glad to see, as I had suspected, the front accessories have hidden that bright blue block rather well. I'm not crazy about chromed out look of the thing, but it is going to be a wicked power ride nonetheless.
I had reservations about the red and black covers with the blue motor too, not anymore. That is a beautiful engine, no doubt about it. I love the chrome, colors, wires, hoses, well I love it all. Nice job. It isn't an original rebuild persay, but it is one of the most original configurations I have seen. Sweet!
Intreestingly, there is almost very little chrome left in the engine. It is all stainless steel or polished aluminum. The radiator and shroud will be a significant visual addition. I am very curious as to how it turns out. I'll post pictures of the final setup in a few days or so.
Thanks for you nice comments - yes, I've used much of my saving to swing this but more important I really wanted to end up with somehtiong special - not cheesy!
I will relay all you feedback to the Mustang shop here in LA. The have been around a long, long time and have never done anything quite like this.
