The supercharger will provide 80 to 100 extra horsepower.

There is much more on tap if I make slight engine modifications (cam, headers, etc), but 300 horses are plenty for me.

so then is the engine stock besides the supercharger? if it's what you like, cool. I'd rather have more horsepower through displacement. :)

Assembly is still in progress.  All will be in place - as it should - within the next few days.

Soaring, I know you can be tough on non-stock cars - but I'd really like to hear your opionion about the engine design thus far...

Not sure why you want my opinion on restomodded classic mustangs.  I know nothing about them, but it sure looks pretty, and obviously you have spent a lot of money on look good and maybe go fast parts. Big deal.  What have you added to that engine that will make that car perform better?
When you figure that out, keep that upgraded part and sell the rest of that shiny sh!t that doesn't add any performance to your engine.

I think that adding chrome and stuff IS intended to be asthetic and visually pleasing....not to add horse power.

No modifications to the hood.  It is made to fit and run with a completely stock car.  The Paxton Novi 1200 (which is what you see here) is a nod to the early Shellby's.

The additional horsepower is nice but the real thrill in the the huge increase in torque.  I can't wait for red lights!

Do you know the compression ratio that you have set up?

still though, since your keeping it relatively mild the torque wont be enough to really twist up the car right?

The increase in torque is why the shop insisted on putting these frame connectors on.  The boost of the supercharger is 7.5.  Not neck-snapping but it will most definitely get the driver's attention.  Like sitting inside a little rocket.

By the way, I still have to pick out mufflers.  Any suggestions for my car that's not too loud at idle but gives me a throaty, gutteral sound at speed.  Soaring suggested Ravins - I'll check those out.  What do you think of the Borla brand?

No, that's not me holding the frame connector.

Yes, the shocks have been painted... black.  I'm thinking that instead of chrome shock towers of  going back to black stock.  This way the shocks and towers will match.  Also the engine brace will most likely be black instaed of chrome, aas well.  I don't want to compete with the really imporant stuff for attention.

I pulled the 289 in my 67 coupe and dropped in a 351W stroked to 408. Never looked back, no regrets. Displacement is the way to go.
